When I say organizing, all I'm saying is that we should take responsibility for making the changes needed now amongst ourselves, rather than relying on top-down directives/initiatives. It seems now like all the organizing is directed at advocating for top-down systemic changes, and with the internet and with young people's social networking skills, we should devote a substantial portion of our organizing to changing our diets and the the way we live in the world. We need to lead, because our leaders are not interested in real leadership, no matter how much we protest. Direct actions and civil disobedience have a place, of course, in effecting change, but we have more agency than we are exercising. We are the 70% (U.S.) 80% (wolrd), and we should act like it.
